So great to hear from you, Libby! My awareness about the US Speedskating team has definitely increased this year because of the sponsorship situation. I'm not a regular viewer of The Colbert Report or a past follower of speedskating - but the first news story I heard brought my attention to both.

What a strong championship history US Speedskaters have! They're impressive athletes. I certainly hope the "one person at a time" approach pays off with deeper support - and long-term sponsorship - for US Speedskating’s future.

Impressive job “listening” to the social media buzz, by the way!

Jenny, this is an awesome blog post. I'm helping the US Speedskating team with social media, and our approach has been exactly this: one person, blogger, Facebook fan, and Twitter follower at a time. Thanks so much for your support!
